Ceaseless

You awaken in an unknown town, you don't remember how you got here and it seems to be entirely devoid of life.  Then you see it, whatever it is, floating towards you.  Its presence causes immense pain and you begin to lose yourself, piece by piece falling into the void.   Each time you lose yourself entirely, you awaken once more to be chased relentlessly, toyed with by the mysterious entity.  All you can hope to achieve is to maintain enough energy to keep moving, eating the ever shifting supply of pineapples (?!?!) to fuel yourself in the hopes of an escape.
